तीन वर्षयता बार्सिलोना दोस्रोपल्ट क्लब वल्र्डकप च्याम्पियन भएको हो। योकोहामा ७० हजार दर्शकअघि बार्सिलोनाले फाइनलमा ब्राजिलको सान्तोसलाई ४-० ले हराएको थियो। त्यो फाइनल 'मेसीविरुद्ध नेयमर' को प्रतिस्पर्धा पनि थियो। किनभने धेरैले यी दुई चर्चित् खेलाडीको भिडन्त हेर्न चाहेका थिए।

यस्तोमा मेसीले बाजी मारे र बार्सिलोना फेरि विश्वविजेता बन्यो। विश्व फुटबलमा अहिलेको सर्वोत्कृष्ट खेलाडी मानिएका मेसीले फाइनलमा दुई गोल गरे। दुई वर्षअघि अर्जेन्टिनी क्लब एस्टुडियन्टेसलाई हराएर पहिलोपल्ट विश्वविजेता हुँदा पनि मेसीले अतिरिक्त समयमा निणर्ायक गोल गरेका थिए। सान्तोसविरुद्ध बाँकी गोल ज्याभी हर्नान्डेज र सेस फाब्रेगासको नाममा रह्यो।

सेमिफाइनलमा बार्सिलोनाले एसियाली च्याम्पिन्स लिग विजेता अल सदलाई २-० ले पराजित गरेको थियो। सान्तोसले जे लिग च्याम्पियन कासिवा रेयसोललाई ३-१ ले हराएको थियो। घरेलु क्लब कासिवालाई टाइब्रेकरमा ५-३ ले हराएर अल सद तेस्रो भयो।

प्रेमिकाको व्यवहारै मीठो

नेपाली फिल्मका लागि दुई दशकदेखि हिरोको पदपूर्ति गरिरहेका राजेश हमाल फिल्ममा देखिने उनको हाउभाउ र आवाजको गर्जनले जति चर्चित छन्, व्यक्तिगत जीवनका कारण पनि । अग्ला कदका ह्यान्डसम हिरोका लागि वास्तविक हिरोइन भेट्नु त्यति मुस्किल नहोला तर जीवनलेे पाँचौं दशक मनाइरहँदा पनि यिनी अविवाहित नै छन् ।

हालैको साँझ सवा घन्टा लामो बसाइमा उनलाई व्यक्तिगत जीवनबारे कोट्याउनु किन पनि सान्दर्भिक हुने थियो भने पछिल्ला दिनमा उनी एक युवतीको चक्करमा फसिरहेका छन् । यसलाई कुराकानीको 'क्लाइमेक्स' बनाउन सुरुवातमा चाहिँ फिल्मी कुरामै चक्कर लगाइयो । २२ वर्षअघि 'युगदेखि युगसम्म' खेलेपछि कहिल्यै 'फ्लप' हुन नपरेका 'भाग्यमानी' उनी स्वयंचाहिँ भाग्यमा विश्वास गर्दैनन् । मान्छे जति बहादुर भए पनि प्रेममा भने कमजोर नै हुन्छ भने झैं राजेशले पनि विवाहको हकमा ज्योतिषीको अवरोधलाई तोड्न सकेनन् । 'धार्मिक अन्धविश्वासका कुरा नसुनेको भए बरु पर्वाह नै हुन्थेन,' ज्योतिषीले दुई वर्ष विवाहमा खड्को छ भनेकैले सन् २०१३ लाई विवाह वर्ष तय गरिसकेका उनी कमजोर बने, 'सुनिसकेपछि मानसपटलमा कस्तो-कस्तो हुँदोरहेछ । धेरै लामो समयपछि शुभकार्य गर्न लागेका बेला केही भइहाले ?'

बुढेसकालमा 'केटाकेटी प्रेम' मा फसेका राजेश यसबारे गफिँदा पनि केटौले देखिए । 'अहिले केटाकेटीको सम्बन्धमा छौं । अचेल यस्तो सम्बन्ध अत्यन्तै काँचो डोरीमा बाँधिएको हुन्छ रे । कुनै पनि बेला छिन्न पनि सक्छ । फेरि छिन्यो भने त हा...हा...हा... ।' केही लाज मिश्रति हाँसोमा पार्टनरको परिचयबारे भने उनी खुल्न चाहेनन्, 'मेरो माध्यमबाट उसको निजी जीवन किन खोतलियोस्, सम्बन्ध गाँसिएपछि भने अर्कै हो ।' अहिले पनि एकसाथ पाँच फिल्ममा व्यस्त नायक प्रेमको चक्कर भने कसरी चलाइरहेका होलान् त ? उनलाई सधैं युवा जोस, आक्रोश र क्रान्तिकारी चरित्रसाथ फिल्म खेलेकैले दर्शकको हृदयमा बस्न सफल भएको ठानिन्छ । उनी आफैं भने सधैं एकनासका चरित्र निर्वाह गर्दागर्दै हत्तु भएका छन् । अब भने उनको जीवनमा प्रेमको साइड इफेक्ट देखिन थालेको छ । किनकि नायक राजेश छिट्टै निर्देशनमा पनि हात हाल्दैछन् । 'त्यसका लागि अध्ययन गरिरहेको छु,' पछिल्लो समय फिल्म क्षेत्रले भोगेको संक्रमणकाललाई नजिकबाट नियालिरहेका उनीसँग फिल्म चलाउने केही उपाय पनि छन्, 'केही चीज विश्वव्यापी हुन्छन् । जसरी हरेक वर्गका नेपालीलाई मःम मनपर्छ त्यसैगरी फिल्ममा पनि मानवीय संवेदनालाई सही ढंगले ट्याकल गर्ने हो सफल भइन्छ ।' यसलाई सजिलो नठानेका उनले आफैंले खेल्दै आएका वा बन्दै आएका फिल्मजस्तै बनाउनुको चाहिँ तुक देख्दैनन् रे । 'त्यस्तै हो भने त किन बनाउनु ?' उनी चाहन्छन् आफ्नो फिल्म

New "Deep Fried" Planets Found—Survivors of Star Death

Two newfound Earth-size planets are probably the charred survivors of a near-death encounter with their fading parent star, scientists say.

The planetary pair, discovered using NASA's Kepler space telescope, are about 0.76 and 0.87 times Earth's radius, making the alien worlds the smallest planets detected so far around an active star, other than our sun.

But the planets didn't start small—astronomers think the worlds were once gas giants, akin to Jupiter or Saturn, that were stripped down after being swallowed by their swollen, aging parent.

News of the "deep fried" duo comes hot on the heels of the announcement of the first Earth-size planets found by the Kepler team.

Just yesterday scientists announced the discovery of Kepler-20e and Kepler-20f, two planets that are 0.87 and 1.03 times Earth's radius, respectively.

There are some similarities between the Earth-size planets discovered so far, said Valérie Van Grootel, an astronomer at the University of Liège in Belgium and a co-author on the latest study.

Kepler-20e and -20f "orbit very close to their star, so they are very hot planets, and that is the case with our planets, too," Van Grootel told National Geographic News.

"But there are major differences, too. In our case, we have a post red-giant star, whereas the other team's planets orbit a star like our own sun. We think that our Earth-size planets are the rocky cores of former gas planets."

Giant Planets Swallowed Whole?

The new planets orbit a subdwarf B star called KIC 02697388, which lies about 4,000 light-years away in the direction of the constellation Cygnus.

Subdwarf B stars are hot, blue stars that fall between red giants and white dwarfs—the final stage in the life cycles of stars like our sun.

When a sunlike star has depleted most of its fuel, it will swell up to become a red giant many hundreds of times its original size.

As the red giant star balloons, any planets closest to the star are completely vaporized in the inferno.

Astronomers think our sun will enter this phase in about five billion years and engulf the solar system's inner planets: Mercury, Venus, Earth, and Mars.

Meanwhile, interactions with gases in a red giant star's expanded atmosphere will force some planets a bit farther from the star to migrate inward—which actually gives those worlds a shot at survival.

Scientists think the newly discovered Earth-size planets were once gas giants that got sucked in toward the star during its red giant phase.

As the planets plowed through their star's hot atmosphere, their gaseous and liquid layers were stripped off, leaving behind only the rocky cores.

No Chance of Life on New Planets

Not only did some of KIC 02697388's planets survive, scientists think the friction generated by their passage helped strip the star of most if its fiery envelope, hastening its progress from a swollen red giant to a hot subdwarf.

"We think this is the first documented case of planets influencing a star's evolution," study leader Stephane Charpinet, an astronomer at France's University of Toulouse, said in a statement.

And despite their Earth-like sizes, "we are sure there is no life on these planets," the University of Liège's Van Grootel added.

Both planets whirl tightly around the subdwarf at distances roughly 40 times closer to their star than Mercury is to our sun. That means the planets have mean surface temperatures on their star-facing sides of 15,947°F (8,842°C) and 14,110°F (7,821°C).

"It's impossible [for life as we know it] to survive at these temperatures so close to a star" that is five times hotter than our sun, Van Grootel said.

Every Black Hole Contains Another Universe?

Like part of a cosmic Russian doll, our universe may be nested inside a black hole that is itself part of a larger universe.

In turn, all the black holes found so far in our universe—from the microscopic to the supermassive—may be doorways into alternate realities.

According to a mind-bending new theory, a black hole is actually a tunnel between universes—a type of wormhole. The matter the black hole attracts doesn't collapse into a single point, as has been predicted, but rather gushes out a "white hole" at the other end of the black one, the theory goes.

In a recent paper published in the journal Physics Letters B, Indiana University physicist Nikodem Poplawski presents new mathematical models of the spiraling motion of matter falling into a black hole. His equations suggest such wormholes are viable alternatives to the "space-time singularities" that Albert Einstein predicted to be at the centers of black holes.

According to Einstein's equations for general relativity, singularities are created whenever matter in a given region gets too dense, as would happen at the ultradense heart of a black hole.

Einstein's theory suggests singularities take up no space, are infinitely dense, and are infinitely hot—a concept supported by numerous lines of indirect evidence but still so outlandish that many scientists find it hard to accept.

If Poplawski is correct, they may no longer have to.

According to the new equations, the matter black holes absorb and seemingly destroy is actually expelled and becomes the building blocks for galaxies, stars, and planets in another reality.

Wormholes Solve Big Bang Mystery?

The notion of black holes as wormholes could explain certain mysteries in modern cosmology, Poplawski said.

For example, the big bang theory says the universe started as a singularity. But scientists have no satisfying explanation for how such a singularity might have formed in the first place.

If our universe was birthed by a white hole instead of a singularity, Poplawski said, "it would solve this problem of black hole singularities and also the big bang singularity."

Wormholes might also explain gamma ray bursts, the second most powerful explosions in the universe after the big bang.

Gamma ray bursts occur at the fringes of the known universe. They appear to be associated with supernovae, or star explosions, in faraway galaxies, but their exact sources are a mystery. (Related: "Gamma-Ray Burst Caused Mass Extinction?")

Poplawski proposes that the bursts may be discharges of matter from alternate universes. The matter, he says, might be escaping into our universe through supermassive black holes—wormholes—at the hearts of those galaxies, though it's not clear how that would be possible.

"It's kind of a crazy idea, but who knows?" he said. (Related: "Are Wormholes Tunnels for Time Travel?")

There is at least one way to test Poplawski's theory: Some of our universe's black holes rotate, and if our universe was born inside a similarly revolving black hole, then our universe should have inherited the parent object's rotation.

If future experiments reveal that our universe appears to rotate in a preferred direction, it would be indirect evidence supporting his wormhole theory, Poplawski said.

Wormholes Are "Exotic Matter" Makers?

The wormhole theory may also help explain why certain features of our universe deviate from what theory predicts, according to physicists.

Based on the standard model of physics, after the big bang the curvature of the universe should have increased over time so that now—13.7 billion years later—we should seem to be sitting on the surface of a closed, spherical universe.

But observations show the universe appears flat in all directions.

What's more, data on light from the very early universe show that everything just after the big bang was a fairly uniform temperature.

That would mean that the farthest objects we see on opposite horizons of the universe were once close enough to interact and come to equilibrium, like molecules of gas in a sealed chamber.

Again, observations don't match predictions, because the objects farthest from each other in the known universe are so far apart that the time it would take to travel between them at the speed of light exceeds the age of the universe.

To explain the discrepancies, astronomers devised the concept of inflation.

Inflation states that shortly after the universe was created, it experienced a rapid growth spurt during which space itself expanded at faster-than-light speeds. The expansion stretched the universe from a size smaller than an atom to astronomical proportions in a fraction of a second.

The universe therefore appears flat, because the sphere we're sitting on is extremely large from our viewpoint—just as the sphere of Earth seems flat to someone standing in a field.

Inflation also explains how objects so far away from each other might have once been close enough to interact.

But—assuming inflation is real—astronomers have always been at pains to explain what caused it. That's where the new wormhole theory comes in.

According to Poplawski, some theories of inflation say the event was caused by "exotic matter," a theoretical substance that differs from normal matter, in part because it is repelled rather than attracted by gravity.

Based on his equations, Poplawski thinks such exotic matter might have been created when some of the first massive stars collapsed and became wormholes.

"There may be some relationship between the exotic matter that forms wormholes and the exotic matter that triggered inflation," he said.

Wormhole Equations an "Actual Solution"

The new model isn't the first to propose that other universes exist inside black holes. Damien Easson, a theoretical physicist at Arizona State University, has made the speculation in previous studies.

"What is new here is an actual wormhole solution in general relativity that acts as the passage from the exterior black hole to the new interior universe," said Easson, who was not involved in the new study.

"In our paper, we just speculated that such a solution could exist, but Poplawski has found an actual solution," said Easson, referring to Poplawski's equations.

Nevertheless, the idea is still very speculative, Easson said in an email.

"Is the idea possible? Yes. Is the scenario likely? I have no idea. But it is certainly an interesting possibility."

Future work in quantum gravity—the study of gravity at the subatomic level—could refine the equations and potentially support or disprove Poplawski's theory, Easson said.

NASA’s Dawn Orbiter snaps Best Ever Images of Vesta

NASA’s Dawn spacecraft has swooped down to the closest orbit above the monster asteroid Vesta that the craft’s cameras and spectrometers will ever glimpse and the probe has begun transmitting these highest resolution pictures to anxiously waiting scientists back on Earth.

Dawn arrived at its Low Altitude Mapping Orbit, known as LAMO, on Dec. 12, 2011 and will continue circling scarcely 130 miles (210 kilometers) above Vesta for at least the next 10 weeks. Each orbit takes about 4.3 hours.

NASA has now released the first batch of crisp new close-ups images taken by the Framing Camera on Dec. 13 showing the stippled and lumpy surface in an exquisitely fine detail never seen before.
The photo montage below shows side by side views of the same portion of the Vestan surface at ever increasing resolution and clarity from ever lower altitudes.

Closer and Closer to the Vesta Surface
NASA’s Dawn spacecraft has spiraled closer and closer to the surface of the giant asteroid Vesta since arriving in mid-2011. The high resolution image gallery reveals fine scale highlights such as multitudes of small craters, grooves and lineaments, landslides and slumping, ejecta from past colossal impacts, and small outcrops of bright and dark materials.

The science team, led by Principal Investigator Prof Chris Russell of UCLA, believes that Vesta is actually more like a planet than an asteroid based on the data obtained thus far.

“Vesta is the smallest terrestrial planet in our Solar System”, Russell told Universe Today. “We do not have a good analog to Vesta anywhere else in the Solar System.”

The primary science objectives at the LAMO orbit are to measure the elemental abundances on the surface of Vesta with the US built gamma ray and neutron detector (GRaND) and to probe the interior structure of the asteroid by measuring the gravity field.

Vesta is a proto-planet formed just a few million years after the birth of the solar system whose evolution into a larger planet was stopped cold by the massive gravitational influence of the planet Jupiter.

Scientists are plowing through thousands of images and millions of spectral measurements to glean clues about the origin and evolution of the solar system that have been preserved on the hitherto unexplored world.

Buried Craters on Vesta

“Vesta is a transitional body between a small asteroid and a planet and is unique in many ways,” says mission scientist Vishnu Reddy of the Max Planck Institute for Solar System Research in Katlenburg-Lindau, Germany. “Vesta is unlike any other asteroid we have visited so far.”

After completing the LAMO measurements, Dawn will again spiral back to a higher altitude for further data gathering especially at the unseen North Pole which is in darkness now.

Dawn will continue orbiting Vesta until July 2012 when it will fire up its ion propulsion system and depart for Ceres, the largest body in the main Asteroid belt between Mars and Jupiter.

“Dawn continues to gather gamma ray spectra and neutron spectra,” Rayman reports. “The bonus imaging at LAMO is yielding pictures more than three times better than those acquired in the high altitude mapping orbit (HAMO). Every week at this low altitude, Dawn will use its ion propulsion system to fine tune its orbit. The first of these weekly orbit adjustments was performed on December 17.”

A treasure trove of spectacular Vesta close-ups are streaming at this moment to the home planet and we’ll have many more goodies to show.

This morning Facebook announced Timeline, a crazy (and kind of creepy) omnibus look at everything that has ever happened in your Facebook lifespan. It’s like a story book of your life — or at least the online, documented parts.

Facebook said that Timeline would be on the way for everyone sometime in the coming weeks… which is great and all, for everyone else. You’re the type of person who reads TechCrunch, and are thus likely the type of person who likes their new and shiny things right now.

That’s okay. We can make it happen.

Fortunately, enabling Timeline a bit early isn’t too difficult — but it’s not at all straight forward, either.

You see, Facebook is enabling Timeline early for open graph developers. You, too, can be an open graph developer — even if you’re just looking to dabble.

A few things to note:
- You probably don’t want to do this unless you’re actually a developer. Expect bugs.
- Only you will see your timeline at first (unless you decide otherwise), but it will automatically go public after a few days. My timeline was automatically hard-set to go public on September 29th.
- It seems that if you login into Facebook on another machine, Timeline gets disabled automatically on all of your machines. With that said, it seems you can get back to your timeline (but ONLY after following the steps below) by navigating to http://www.facebook.com/YOURUSERNAMEHERE?sk=timeline
- You’ll need to have a “verified” account for one of the steps, which means you need a credit card or phone number attached to the account.
Here’s how to do it:

1. Log into Facebook

2. Enable developer mode, if you haven’t already. To do this, type “developer” into the Facebook search box, click the first result (it should be an app made by Facebook with a few hundred thousand users), and add the app.

3. Jump into the developer app (if Facebook doesn’t put you there automatically, it should be in your left-hand tool bar)

4. Create a new app (don’t worry — you wont actually be submitting this for anyone else to see/use). Give your shiny new app any display name and namespace you see fit. Read through and agree to the Platform Privacy agreement. This is the step you need to be verified for.

5. Ensure you’re in your new app’s main settings screen. You should see your app’s name near the top of the page

6. Look for the “Open Graph” header, and click the “Get Started using open graph” link.

Create a test action for your app, like “read” a “book”, or “eat” a “sandwich”

7. This should drop you into an action type configuration page. Change a few of the default settings (I changed the past tense of “read” to “redd” — again, only you can see this unless you try and submit your application to the public directory), and click through all three pages of settings

8. Wait 2-3 minutes

9. Go back to your Facebook homescreen. An invite to try Timeline should be waiting at the top of the page

And you’re done! We’ve seen this work quite a few times now, so it should work without a hitch for just about anyone.

चौतर्फी विरोध

नेपाली सेनामा मधेसीको छुट्टै बटालियन बनाउने र मधेसीमूलका लागि मात्र भर्ना खोल्ने सरकारी निर्णयको चौतर्फी विरोध हुन थालेको छ । प्रमुख विपक्षी दल कांग्रेस र एमालेले 'सत्ता टिकाउने नाममा प्रधानमन्त्रीले जथाभावी निर्णय गर्न थालेको' निष्कर्ष निकाल्दै यसको कडा प्रतिवाद गर्ने जनाएका छन् ।

कांग्रेस-एमालेको बुधबार सिंहदरबारमा बसेको बैठकले सरकारको निर्णय सेनालाई कमजोर बनाउने उद्देश्यबाट भएको निष्कर्ष निकालेको छ । 'सरकारमा रहिरहन प्रधानमन्त्रीले जे पनि गर्न खोजेको देखियो,' बैठकमा सहभागी एमाले नेता सुरेन्द्र पाण्डेले कान्तिपुरसँग भने, 'कुनै जाति समुदायको मात्र छुट्टै बटालियन बनाउने, त्यसका लागि मात्र भर्ना खोल्नेलगायत कुराले नेपाली सेनालाई कमजोर बनाउँछ ।' उनले मुलुकलाई विघटनको दिशामा धकेल्ने खालको प्रयास भएको भन्दै संसद्मा यो विषय उठाउने जानकारी दिए ।

कांग्रेसले यो निर्णयले सेनाको उच्च व्यावसायिकतामा आँच पुर्‍याउनुका साथै जाति र क्षेत्रका नाममा सेनालाई खण्डीकरण गर्ने प्रयास गरिएको आरोप लगाएको छ । 'सेनाभित्रको एकता, अनुशासन र उच्च व्यावसायिक पेसालाई आँच पुर्‍याउने गरी गरिएको यो निर्णयलाई कांग्रेसले स्वीकार गर्न सक्दैन,' कांग्रेस नेता अर्जुननरसिंह केसीले भने, 'कांग्रेस सेनाभित्र खण्डीकरणको पक्षमा छैन ।' सेनाको हाल रहेको संरचना र स्वरूपलाई समावेशी बनाउने अन्य विकल्पमा जान सहमत रहे पनि अहिलेको निर्णयलाई मान्न नसकिने केसीले बताए । 'छुट्टै बटालियन बनाएर समूहगत प्रवेशको कुरा जसरी गरिएको छ, यसले सेनाभित्र खण्डीकरणको प्रक्रिया सुरु गर्छ,' केसीले भने, 'समावेशी बनाउन यसको विकल्प खोज्नुपर्छ ।'

कांग्रेसको बुधबारको संसदीय दल बैठकमा पनि मधेसी समुदायको छुट्टै बटालियन बनाउने सरकारको निर्णयको आलोचना भएको थियो । कांग्रेस नेतृत्वको तत्कालीन सरकारले ०६३ मा नेपाली सेनालाई समावेशी बनाउने दिशामा सबुज गण बनाएको सन्दर्भ उल्लेख गर्दै बैठकमा कांग्रेस केन्द्रीय सदस्य गगन थापाले पछिल्लो पटक यसलाई राजनीतिक अस्त्रका रूपमा मात्रै प्रयोग गर्न खोजिएको बताएका थिए । 'सबुज गण मधेसीको गण मात्रै हो, पहिला रौतहटमा रहेको गण अहिले ओखलढुंगामा छ । अधिकृतस्तरमा केही गैरमधेसीबाहेक यो गणमा अन्य सबै मधेसी मूलका छन्,' थापाको भनाइ उद्धृत गर्दै स्रोतले भन्यो, 'यसलाई विस्तार गर्ने कुरा र स्रोत साधन बढाएर अझै समावेशी बनाउने कुरामा हाम्रो विमति हुँदैन । तर नयाँ बटालियन बनाउने नाममा जुन निर्णय भएको छ, यो राष्ट्रको हितमा छैन र मधेसीको

नाममा राजनीति प्रचारलाई अघि बढाउन खोजिएको मात्रै देखिन्छ ।' बैठकमा सभापति सुशील कोइरालाले यस विषयलाई केन्द्रीय समिति बैठकमा छलफलको एजेन्डा बनाइने बताएका थिए ।

सरकारको मंगलबारको निर्णयको अन्य दल र जातीय मोर्चाहरूले पनि विरोध गरेका छन्् । मधेसीको मात्र पहिचान खुल्ने बटालियन बनाउने निर्णय राष्ट्रघाती भएको उल्लेख गर्दै उनीहरूले तत्काल सच्याउन सरकारको ध्यानाकर्षण गराएका छन् ।

थरूहटसम्बन्धी ६ वटा दल र युनियनले बुधबार संयुक्त विज्ञप्ति जारी गर्दै १५ दिनभित्र निर्णय खारेज नभए २० हजार थारू दस्ता उतारेर आन्दोलनमा उत्रिने चेतावनी दिएका छन् । 'छुट्टै बटालियन बनाउने निर्णय सत्ता टिकाउन गरिएको राष्ट्रघाती निरंकुशतापूर्ण बेइमानी हो, साथै नेपालको राष्ट्रियताप्रतिको गद्दारी हो,' विज्ञप्तिमा भनिएको छ ।

आदिवासी/जनजाति दलित गणतान्त्रिक मोर्चाले पनि विज्ञप्ति जारी गरी नेपाली सेनामा जात-जातीय, समुदायगत, क्षेत्रीय र भौगोलिक आधारमा भर्ना गर्न हुने बताएको छ । मोर्चाका अध्यक्ष किशोरकुमार विश्वासले विज्ञप्तिमार्फत तत्काल निर्णय फिर्ता लिन माग गरेका छन् । चुरेभावर राष्ट्रिय एकता पार्टीले पनि निर्णयप्रति आपत्ति जनाउँदै तत्काल फिर्ता नलिए चरणबद्घ आन्दोलनमा जाने घोषणा गरेको छ ।

पुस २९ देखि देशव्यापी प्रदर्शनमा आउन लागेको फिल्मलाई भारत र अस्टे्रलियाबाट समेत सोही मितिमा सार्वजनिक गर्न लागेको निर्मातामध्येका एक माधव वाग्लेेले जनाए । फिल्ममा पाँचजना ग्याङमा सौगात मल्ल, दयाहाङ राई, कर्म, सुशीलराज पाण्डे र प्रदीप न्यौपाने रहेका छन् । नायिका ऋचा शर्माको विशेष उपस्थिति रहेको फिल्ममा सुष्मा कार्कीको 'आइटम डान्स' छ ।

ओस्कार कलेजमा स्नातक अध्ययनरत निश्चल श्रेष्ठ 'लुट' का निर्देशक हुन् । उनले अध्ययनकै क्रममा बनाए पनि फिल्मको प्रोमो र गीतहरुबाट चर्चा पाउँदा खुसी लागेको बताए । 'फिल्मबाटै प्रोमो बनाइएकाले पनि फिल्म सोही ढंगको बनेको छ,' निश्चलले भने, 'जेहोस्, प्रोमोले देखाएको दर्शक आशालाई फिल्मले मर्न नदिनेमा विश्वस्त छु ।' यसअघि पनि 'फस्ट लभ' बाट सफल देखिएका निर्माता माधवले 'लुट' पनि सफल रहने दाबी गरे ।

नेपालबाट आएको थाहा पाउनेबित्तिकै यी दुईले ठूलो सिसाको ढोकाछेउ उभिरहेकी थाई युवतीलाई कफी मगाए । १९ वषर्ीया सोनुले बस्नलाई टुल ल्याइदिइन् र भनिन्, 'बरु सामान केही नकिन्नुस् तर नेपाली फिल्मका कलाकारबारे बताइदिनुस् ।' यहीबेला गिफ्ट सपमा दुई पर्यटक भित्रिए, तर सोनु र मल्लिका भने बेपर्वाह साथ गफमै मस्त हुन चाहे । बरु उल्टै हातको इसाराबाट छेवैकी थाई युवतीलाई पर्यटकसँग डिल गर्न अर्‍हाए । 'राजेश हमालको बिहे भयो दाइ ?' सोनुले पहिलो प्रश्न फयाँकिन् । १८ वषर्ीया मल्लिका अनुनय भावमा फिस्स हाँसिन् ।

'भएको छैन नि,' छेवैमा उभिरहेका साथी रत्न श्रेष्ठले भने ।

'आहा १ हो र ?' मल्लिका बोलिन्, 'अनि उमेरचाहिँ कति भयो होला नि ?'

'५५ देखि ६० को रेन्ज' रत्नलाई सुनेपछि दुवैले जिब्रो काढिन् र भनिन्, 'आम्मै, फिल्म त भर्खरको देखिन्छ त ?' यसपछि प्रसंग रेखा र निखिलतिर मोडियो । नायिका रेखाको निर्माता छवि ओझासँग बिहे भइसकेको र निखिलले सञ्चिता लुइँटेललाई कान्छी बनाएर बच्चासमेत भइसकेको सुनेपछि मल्लिका अलिक निराश भइन् । 'बिहे भएकै छैन होला ठानेकी थिएँ,' हातको कलम चिउँडोनेर खेलाउँदै उनी बोलिन्, 'दुई दुईटी पो ?' उनीहरूले झरना थापा, विराज भट्ट र विपना थापालाई पनि सम्झे । झरनाको सुनीलकुमार थापासँग र विपनाको दुई वर्ष पहिले भारतमा बिहे भएको सुनेपछि सोनु फुस्फुसाइन्, 'सप्पैको पो बिहे भइसकेछ हगि ?'

म्यान्मारको मोगोक फयाडाँडामा १० कक्षा पढ्दापढ्दै कामको खोजीमा थाइल्यान्ड आएकी मल्लिका र यांगुन -रंगुन)बाट एक दिन एक रातको बस-यात्रापछि पुगिने डान्डागुबाट एक वर्षअघि बैंकक भित्रिएकी सोनु म्यान्मारका आमनेपाली भाषीजस्तै नेपाली फिल्मका जर्बजस्त फयान

रहेछन् । कुराकानी क्रममा यी दुइले 'दुनियाँ', 'धडकन्', 'आमाको माया', 'मेरो एउटा साथी छ', 'निखिल दाइ', 'हिम्मत', 'सिँउदोको सिन्दुर', 'लवकुश', 'कर्तव्य', 'आमाको काख', 'दर्पणछाया' 'पापीमान्छे', 'आशिर्वाद', 'मैदान' लगायत आफूले हेरेका झन्डै ६० वटा जति नेपाली फिल्मको नाम फटाफट भने । 'नाम मात्रै हो र ?' सोनु बोलिन्, 'हिरो हिरोइन् र कहानी पनि कन्ठै आउँछ ।'

मल्लिकाले चाहिँ अन्तिमपटक 'अजम्बरी नाता' हेरेको बताइन्, जुन उनले कामको लागि म्यान्मार छाड्नुअघि आमा, बुबा र भाइहरूसँग घरैमा हेरेकी थिइन् । 'अजम्बरी' र 'नाता' शब्द सुन्नासाथ सिसाको ढोका पर्तिर काम गरिरहेका २७ वषर्ीय मोहन लिम्बू कुदेर आइपुगे । झयाप्प कपाल पालेका र हमेसा मनमनै कतै हराइरहनेझैं मनोदशा बोकेका उनले सोनु र मल्लिकालाई झन्डै हकारेको लवजमा भने, 'के थाहा छ तिमीहरूजस्ता बच्चीलाई अजम्बरी नाताको अर्थ ? सुन्न चाहन्छयौ ?'

मोहनको आकस्मिक प्रवेशबाट वाल्ल परेका सोनु र मल्लिका 'सुन्न चाहन्छयौं ?' भन्ने वाक्यले हौसिए । 'ल भन्नुस् त,' मल्लिका अघि सरिन् । 'अजम्बरी नाता भनेको सस्तो नाता हैन बुझयौ ?' मोहनका गम्भीर आँखाहरू चल्मलाए, 'त्यो माटोको नाता हो, भाषा, संस्कृति र आफ्नोपनको नाता हो ।' पूर्वको धरान हुँदै म्यान्मार छिरेका पुर्खाहरूको सम्झना गर्दै मोहनले आफूहरूले म्यान्मारमा नेपाली भाषा र संस्कृतिलाई जोगाएर राखेको सगर्व उल्लेख गरे । पसलको ग्राहकसँग डिल गर्न जानुअघि उनले उत्साहित भएर भने, 'बैंककमा पनि हामी नेपालीपनको संरक्षण गर्न छिट्टै समिति गठन गर्दै छौं । समिति भएपछि थाइल्यान्डमा नेपाली संस्कृति र भाषा जोगाउन बल पुग्नेछ ।'

३२ डिग्री बैंककको तापक्रममा सर्टको आधा बाहुला पाखुरातिर सुक्र्याएका उनले हिन्दी नक्कलभन्दा नेपालीपनको जर्गेना हुने खालको फिल्म बनेमा राम्रो हुने सल्लाह पनि दिन भ्याए । म्यान्मार छँदा उनी निकै नेपाली फिल्म हेर्थे, बैंकक आएपछि कम्तीमा १५ दिनको एकपटक । मल्लिका र सोनुले पनि यही बताए । यी दुई नेपाली फिल्मको यतिसम्मको जब्बर फयान दरिए कि 'कुनै कलाकारको फोटो छ भने छोडिराख्नु न,' भने ।

'अहो, यो त 'दुनियाँ' फिल्मको सिन हो,' गुगल सर्चमा भेटिएका राजेश हमालको फोटोलाई ल्यापटपमा देखाएपछि दुवैजना चिच्याए, 'कम्तीमा पनि सातपटक हेरेका छौं यो फिल्म ।' जुन तस्बिर देखाए पनि फिल्मको सिनसहित भन्न सक्ने यी युवती नेपालमै फिल्म हेर्ने औसत दर्शकभन्दा निकै माथिका झैं लाग्थे । उनीहरूका अनुसार म्यान्मारमा प्रायः सबै नेपाली आफ्नो भाषाको फिल्म भनेपछि हुरुक्कै हुन्छन् ।

अब गम्भीर कुरा । गम्भीर किनभने म्यान्मारमा नेपाली फिल्म हलमा चल्दैन, विद्यालयमा नेपाली पढाइने भएकाले भाषिक समस्या नभए पनि उता कुनै नेपाली फिल्म बन्दैन, सबै फिल्म नेपालबाटै जाने हुन् । सोनु र मल्लिकाकै अनुसार पनि एउटा फिल्मको सिडीले लाखौं बर्मेली क्याट -रुपैयाँ) कमाउँछ । सिडी या डिभिडी किन्न कम्तीमा १ हजार क्याट तिर्नुपर्छ, भिडियो पार्लरबाट भाडामा ल्याएर हेर्ने हो भने ५ सय

महिनामा १० हजारदेखि १५ हजार भाटसम्म कमाइ गर्ने सोनु र मल्लिकाले फिल्मी दुनियाँ जोडिएको अर्को सपना पनि सुनाए । नृत्य र अभिनयमा रुचि राख्ने यी दुई फिल्म र म्युजिक भिडियो पनि खेल्न चाहन्छन् । एकपटक पुर्खाहरूको थलो नेपाल हेर्ने पनि यी दुईको सपना छ । 'डङ्गै -धेरै) पैसा कमाएपछि एकपटक जसरी भए'नि काठमाडौं आउँछौं है,' लगभग ३ घन्टाको कफी गफपछि छुट्ने बेला दुवैले भने, 'अनि

माघदेखि बिजुलीको भाउ २० प्रतिशत बढ्ने

माघदेखि सर्वसाधारणले दिनको १८ घन्टा लोडसेडिङ खेप्नुपर्छ भने प्रधानमन्त्री बाबुराम भट्टराईको सहमति कार्यान्वयन भए महिनाको अन्त्यमा बिजुली महसुल अहिलेभन्दा २० प्रतिशत बढी तिर्नुपर्ने छ । विद्युत् महसुल निर्धारण आयोगले प्रधानमन्त्रीलाई भेटेर आप्mनो प्रस्ताव देखाएपछि उनले सहमति दिएका हुन् ।

बिजुलीको महसुल दर ग्राहक अनुसार फरक भएकाले सबैलाई पर्ने व्ययभार तय नभइसकेको आयोगका अध्यक्ष गणेश सुब्बाले बताए । 'औसत २० प्रतिशत महसुल बढाउने तयारी भइरहेको छ ।

अहिले २० युनिटभन्दा कम बिजुली खपत गर्ने ग्राहकले महिनाको ८० रुपैयाँ तिरे पुग्छ । ग्राहकले एक युनिट बिजुलीको औसत ६ रुपैयाँ ५८ पैसा तिरिरहेका छन् ।

विद्युत्को युनिट खपत गरे अनुसारका ग्राहक भएकाले कुन क्ष्ाेत्रमा कति बढाउने तय नभए पनि औसत २० प्रतिशत बढाउनेबारे सैद्धान्तिक सहमति भएको सुब्बाले बताए । २० युनिटभन्दा कम बिजुली खपत गर्ने ग्राहकको मूल्य बढाउन प्राधिकरणले प्रस्ताव नगरेकाले त्यसमा परिवर्तन नगर्ने सोचाइ आयोगको छ । 'साना ग्राहकको वृद्धिको माग भएको छैन,' सुब्बाले भने, 'अरूको पनि कसलाई कति बढाउने भन्ने तय भइसकेको छैन तर औसत २० प्रतिशत बढाउन सकिने देखिएको

छ ।' प्रधानमन्त्रीको सहमति अनुसार २० प्रतिशत भाउ बढे प्रतियुनिट औसत लागत ७ रुपैयाँ ८० पैसा पुग्ने छ । तर यसले प्राधिकरणलाई ठूलो राहत पुग्न नसक्ने निमित्त कार्यकारी निर्देशक रामेश्वर यादवले बताए । '३० प्रतिशत भाउ बढ्ने हो भने हामीलाई ७० प्रतिशतजति राहत पुग्थ्यो,' उनले भने । प्राधिकरणको गत वर्षको घाटा करिब ७ अर्ब रुपैयाँ छ । प्राधिकरणले घाटा नहुने गरी भाउ बढाइदिन आयोग समक्ष आग्रह गरेको थियो ।

बिजुलीको उत्पादक, प्रसारक र वितरक भए पनि त्यसको मूल्य तोक्ने अधिकार भने प्राधिकरणसँग छैन । सरकारले गठन गरेको आयोगले मूल्य तय गर्ने व्यवस्था छ । पछिल्लो राजनीतिक हस्तक्षेप हाबी भएपछि १० वर्षयता बिजुलीको मूल्य समायोजन हुन सकेको थिएन । यसबीचमा आन्तरिक अनियमितता, चर्को ब्याज र लामो समयदेखि उपभोक्ता शुल्क बढाउन नसक्दा प्राधिकरणको सञ्चित नोक्सानी आकासिँदै गएको छ । तर करिब ५ महिनाअघि प्राधिकरणले बिजुली उत्पादकहरूबाट किन्ने दर -पिपिए दर) भने २० प्रतिशत बढाइसकेकाले थप व्ययभार थप बढेको थियो ।

प्राधिकरणलाई एक युनिट बिजुलीमा २ रुपैयाँ ३९ पैसा घाटा

छ । पिपिए बढाए पनि उपभोक्ता महसुल नबढाउँदा घाटा चुलिँदै गएको हो । प्राधिकरणको सञ्चालन खर्चमा सबैभन्दा ठूलो हिस्सा बिजुली किन्नमै जान्छ । गत वर्ष यो खर्च १२ प्रतिशतले बढेर १० अर्ब ९५ करोड रुपैयाँ पुगेको छ । यसमा डलरमा बिजुली खरिद गर्ने सम्झौता भएको खिम्ती र भोटेकोसीलाई तिर्नुपर्ने

रकम डलर अधिमूल्यनका कारण बढेको छ ।

प्राधिकरणको सञ्चित घाटा २७ अर्ब ५३ करोड रुपैयाँ पुगेको छ । बोझ बन्दै गइरहेको सरकारी संस्थान सुधारका लागि सरकारले प्राधिकरणको घाटा अपलेखन गर्ने भएको छ । मूल्य वृद्धि पनि मुख्य बुँदा रहेको प्राधिकरणको उक्त वित्तीय सुधार प्रस्तावलाई अर्थ मन्त्रालयले पारित गरिसकेको छ । महसुल बढे पनि लोडसेडिङको समय घट्ने कुनै ठोस योजना नआएकाले यसको

चर्को विरोध हुने सम्भावना पनि उत्तिकै छ ।

लोडसेडिङ कम गर्ने भन्दै डिजल प्लान्ट समेत जडान गर्ने तयारी सरकारले गरिरहे पनि तत्काल सम्भव देखिएको छैन । फेरि डिजलबाट उत्पादित बिजुलीको प्रतियुनिट लागत करिब २५ रुपैयाँ पर्ने हुँदा सरकार वा प्राधिकरणले त्यसको भार खेप्नुपर्ने

छ । भारतबाट आयात गर्ने भनिएको बिजुली पनि ६ महिनायता आउने सम्भावना छैन ।

फागुनमा ६५ लाख युनिट अपुग हुने भएपछि दैनिक १९ घन्टासम्म लोडसेडिङ पुग्ने प्रक्षेपण प्राधिकरणको छ । माघ र चैतमा ६३ लाख युनिट अपुग हुने हुदा दैनिक लोडसेडिङ समय १८ घन्टा पुग्ने छ ।

पौडेललाई सहिद घोषणा नगर्न दबाब

चितवन कारागारभित्र आपसी झडपमा ज्यान गुमाएका शिव पौडेललाई सहिद घोषणा गर्ने प्रक्रिया अघि बढाएपछि एमाले लगायतका दलले त्यसको विरोध गरेका छन् ।

एमाले अध्यक्ष झलनाथ खनालसहितको टोलीले बुधबार प्रधानमन्त्री बाबुराम भट्टराईलाई भेटी आपराधिक गतिविधिमा संलग्न व्यक्तिको मुद्दा फिर्ता र सहिद घोषणा गर्ने प्रक्रिया अघि बढाएकोमा कडा आपत्ति जनाएको छ ।

कारागारभित्र एक-आपसमा झडप भई एउटा व्यक्ति मारिने अवस्था आउनु प्रशासनको कमजोरी भएको तर यही कुरालाई लिएर सहिद घोषणा र मुद्दा नै फिर्ता गर्नु गलत भएको जिकिर टोलीले प्रधानमन्त्रीसँग गरेको थियो । 'यो राजनीतिक घटना

होइन, डनहरूको लडाइँ हो,' प्रधानमन्त्रीसँगको भेटमा संलग्न एमाले नेता सुरेन्द्र पाण्डेले भने, 'आपराधिक गतिविधिलाई राजनीतिक जालो लगाएर सहिद घोषणा र मुद्दा फिर्ताको कार्यक्रम अघि बढाउनु हुँदैन भन्यौं ।' विघटित तरुण दलका चितवन अध्यक्ष समेत रहेका पौडेलको गत शनिबार राजधानीमा उपचारका क्रममा निधन भएको थियो ।

कांग्रेसको विरोधपछि सरकारले पौडेललाई सहिद घोषणा र मुद्दा फिर्ता प्रक्रिया अघि बढाउने निर्णय गरेको थियो । प्रधानमन्त्री भट्टराईले छानबिन आयोग बनिसकेकाले त्यसको प्रतिवदेनका आधारमा मात्र अघि बढ्ने धारणा टोलीसँग राखेका थिए ।

१ करोड २२ लाख नक्कली भारु

वीरगन्ज लैजान तयार पारिएको १ करोड २२ लाख नक्कली भारतीय रुपैयाँसहित भारतीय, फिलिपिनो र एक नेपाली नागरिक बुधबार पक्राउ परेका छन् ।

भारतको मोतिहारी चम्पारण बेतियाका नसिम आलम, फिलिपिन्सका डेनिस सेनसेज र खोटाङका डिकबहादुर नेपालीलाई प्रहरीले कलंकीको मकालु पेट्रोलपम्प छेउमा पक्राउ गरेको हो ।

प्रहरीका अनुसार डेनिसले दुबई, कतार र दिल्ली हुँदै उक्त रकम काठमाडौं लिएर आएका हुन् । नक्कली कारोवारमा यति ठूलो रकम फेला परेको यो पहिलोपल्ट हो । उनले दुबईमा रहेका एक व्यक्तिले पैसा नेपाल पुर्‍याउन लगाएको बताए । उनले किङ फिसन एयरवेजबाट दुबई, कतार र नयाँ दिल्ली हँुदै मंगलबार नेपाल आएर सोल्टी होटलमा रात बिताएका थिए ।

प्रहरीले यसअघि कस्मेटिक सामानभित्र प्याक गरेर ल्याएको अवस्थामा नक्कली रुपैयाँ फेला पर्ने गरेको थियो । त्यस्तै प्याकमा सामान आएको देखेपछि विमानस्थलमा खटिएको प्रतिआतंकवाद सेलको प्रहरीले उनलाई पिछा गरेका थिए । होटलमा पनि प्रहरीले निगरानी राखेको थियो । 'उनी चेक आउट गर्ने/नगर्नेमा पनि सशंकित देखिन्थे,' एक प्रहरी अधिकृतले भने, 'चेक आउट गरेपछि विमानस्थल जाने अनुमान गरेका थियौं, तर उनी कलंकी लागे ।' कलंकी पुगेको केहीबेरमै आलम र डिकबहादुर उनलाई भेट्न आएपछि प्रहरीले तीनै जनालाई नियन्त्रणमा लिएको थियो ।

पक्राउ परेका नेपाली र आलम बल्खुको एलएक्स फुटवेयर कम्पनीमा काम गर्छन् । आलमले १५ दिनअघि घर जाँदा अबताफ नामको व्यक्तिले सामान ल्याउन लगाएको बताए । 'विदेशबाट सुन आउँदै छ, यहाँसम्म ल्याइदिए पैसा दिन्छु भनेकाले लिएर जान लागेको थिएँ,' उनले भने, 'तर पैसा रहेछ ।' डिकबहादुरलाई अंग्रेजी बोल्न आउने भएकाले आफूसँग लगेको आलमले बताएका छन् । नेपालीले पनि आलमले वीरगन्ज पुगेर आऊँ, २० हजार रुपैयाँ दिन्छु भनेकाले गएको बताए ।

महानगरीय प्रहरी वृत्त कालिमाटीका डीएसपी टेकबहादुर तामाङले पक्राउ परेकामाथि खोटा चलनअन्तर्गत मुद्दा चलाइएको बताए । प्रहरीले गत कात्तिकमा ४५ लाख भारतीय रुपैयाँसहित पाकिस्तानका मोहम्मद समिललाई पक्राउ गरेको थियो ।

सरकारको निर्णयप्रति सेना असन्तुष्ट

मधेसी समुदायका लागि मात्र भर्ना खोल्ने सरकारी निर्णयबाट नेपाली सेना असन्तुष्ट बनेको छ । मन्त्रिपरिषद्को मंगलबारको बैठकले शाहीकालमै स्वीकृत ३ हजार ४० दरबन्दीमा अर्थ मन्त्रालयबाट बजेट निकासा गरी मधेसी र मधेसी मूलका आदिवासी, दलितलगायतलाई भर्ना गर्न रक्षा मन्त्रालयलाईर् निर्देशन दिएको थियो ।

प्रधानसेनापति छत्रमानसिं गुरुङले यो विषयलाई लिएर बुधबार बिहान प्रधानमन्त्री बाबुराम भट्टराईलाई बालुवाटारमा भेटेका छन् । स्रोतका अनुसार भट्टराईले निर्णयबारे प्रस्ट जानकारी दिएनन् । सेनापति गुरुङले बिहीबार बिहान सेनाका परमाधिपतिसमेत रहेका राष्ट्रपति रामवरण यादवसँग भेट गर्दैछन् ।

'कुनै मन्त्रीले एकथरी व्याख्या गर्छन्, कुनैले अर्कैथरी । ठ्याक्कै के निर्णय भएको हो थाहा छैन,' उच्च सैनिक स्रोतले भन्यो, 'बाहिर चर्चामा आएजस्तो कुनै जाति वा समुदाय विशेषलाई मात्र भर्ना लिने विषय गम्भीर छ । यो अन्तरिम संविधान, २०६३ र सैनिक ऐनको समेत विपरीत छ । यसले सेनामा दूरगामी समस्या सिर्जना गर्न सक्छ ।'

अन्तरिम संविधानमै सबै नागरिक कानुनको दृष्टिमा समान रहने भएकाले कसैका लागि विशेष व्यवस्था गर्नु गलत भएको उच्च सैनिक स्रोतको बुझाइ छ । त्यसमाथि सार्वभौमसत्ता र राष्ट्रिय सुरक्षाको जिम्मेवारी बोकेको सेनाले फराकिलो भएर सोच्नुपर्ने र भेदभावपूर्ण व्यवहार गर्न नमिल्ने सेनाको तर्क छ । संविधानको भाग ३, मौलिक हकसम्बन्धी व्यवस्थाअन्तर्गत समानताको हकमा 'सबै नागरिक कानुनको दृष्टिमा समान हुनेछन्, कसैलाई पनि कानुनको समान संरक्षणबाट वञ्चित गरिने छैन' भनिएको छ ।

तर महिला, दलित, आदिवासी जनजाति, मधेसी, किसान, मजदुर, आर्थिक, सामाजिक वा सांस्कृतिक दृष्टिले पिछडिएका वर्गलगायतको संरक्षण वा विकासको व्यवस्था गर्न सकिने उल्लेख छ । त्यसका लागि संसदबाट कानुनी व्यवस्था गर्नुपर्ने संविधानमा उल्लेख छ, मन्त्रिपरिषद्को निर्णयबाट होइन ।

यतिखेर सेना औपचारिक निर्णयको पर्खाइमा छ । मन्त्रिपरिषद्को निर्णय रक्षा मन्त्रालयमार्फत सैनिक मुख्यालय जंगीअड्डा पुग्नु पर्ने हुन्छ । रक्षासचिव नवीन घिमिरेले पनि मन्त्रिपरिषद्को निर्णय आइनपुगेको बताए । सैनिक प्रवक्ता सहायकरथी रमीन्द्र छेत्रीले औपचारिक निर्णय प्राप्त नभएकाले प्रतिक्रिया दिन नमिल्ने जनाए ।

राज्यले लिएको नीतिअनुरूप ४५ प्रतिशत आरक्षण छुट्टयाएर सेनालाई समावेशीकरण गरिरहेको अवस्थामा जाति, समुदाय विशेषलाई मात्र केन्दि्रत गरी भर्ना गर्न दिएको निर्देशन अनुचित भएको सेनाको ठम्याइ छ । आवश्यक ठाने सरकारले संसद्बाट ऐन नै

पारित गरेर समावेशीकरणका लागि आरक्षणको प्रतिशत बढाउन सक्छ

तर मन्त्रिपरिषद्ले मात्र निर्णय गरेर निर्देशन दिनु उचित नभएको सेनाको धारणा छ ।

'फराकिलो ढंगले सबैको हकमा भर्ना खुला गर्नुपर्छ राज्यले, त्यसैको एक अंगका रूपमा रहेको सेनाले साँघुरो सोच राख्नु हुँदैन,' सैनिक स्रोतले भन्यो, 'कुनै जाति वा समुदाय विशेषलाई मात्र भर्ना खोल्ने गरी निर्णय भएको रहेछ र त्यसैअनुरूपको निर्देशन आए संविधान र सैनिक ऐनबमोजिम बाझिने भन्दै पुनर्विचारका लागि फिर्ता गर्नेर्छौं ।'
